FRONT ONLY - Big Brake Upgrade for Sprinter 2500 by Agile Offroad

Agile & Alcon are happy to present our heavy-duty big FRONT BRAKE KIT for Mercedes Sprinter!

We've spent the better part of a year working with the engineers at Alcon to develop a Sprinter-specific brake upgrade kit! As many of you have experienced, the stopping power of the factory brakes leaves more to be desired, especially on heavier-built RVs. This FRONT BRAKE ONLY configuration allows vehicles with electronic parking brakes to enjoy the massive benefits of a big brake kit.

Features:

• Ductile Iron caliper housing providing maximum strength and stiffness as well as high resistance to impact and fatigue
• Epoxy acrylic paint over acid zinc finish for maximum corrosion protection
• Zinc-finished iron calipers for maximum corrosion protection
• High friction pads increase stopping power
• Military-grade high-temperature seals & wipers for dirt exclusion, pad push-back springs for optimum off-road wear resistance, and inboard bleed screws for increase tamper-proofing
• Large 1-piece non-directional rotors (Alcon 13.5" front & 14" rear vs. factory 12" front & 11.75" rear) reduce disc temperatures, pad work rates, increase brake torque & reduce pedal effort
• Increased pad area reduces temperatures and increases pad life.
• Fits 17-inch and larger wheels
• Engineered to work with factory Mercedes master cylinder & ABS system

• Integrated offset correction for the RIP Kit. No wheel spacers required

Gains in performance over stock braking system:

• Up to 3% reduction in disc temperature rise
• Up to 45% reduction in pad work rate
• Up to 6% increase in available brake torque
• Up to 6% reduction in pedal effort

We are often working with vehicles so heavy that despite being relatively slow, they still need up to 30 times the brake torque used by racing cars, requiring calipers made from cast iron rather than aluminum. Even on a vehicle weighing dozens of tons it’s crucial our brakes play their part in not just slowing and stopping the vehicle but helping achieve the overall design objectives.
