The Agile Off Road Spare Tire Basket Bracket Kit is an essential modification for Mercedes Sprinter owners looking to carry a larger-than-stock full-sized spare tire. Your upgraded aftermarket wheel & all-terrain spare tire no longer have to be mounted on a bumper, roof, or door. Our kit consists of extension brackets (and necessary hardware) that relocate the basket to fit a larger tire (up to 275/70-R17). Fitting a larger-than-stock tire also requires stretching your tire basket. Instructions for this procedure are included in the kit. Manufactured in Santee, California, USA.

My opinion says dangerous

"I should’ve looked at the pictures closer before I purchased this, look at the pictures yourself. Looks janky as hell. The pictures shows one bolt (each side assuming) versus two that your spare tire rack came with. . I’m not sure what engineer signed off on this one but hard pass. The metal is soft steel and will eventually wear through with one bolt, plus with one bolt the carrier will be prone to side to side sway. If you would have made the piece longer so you utilize both the OEM holes on the van and both holes on the carrier it would be wayyyy better. Plus make it out of thicker stock it would be better yet. Can I return this?"

Bolt on then some more work

"The extension bracket bolt on super easy. However there is significant work that need to be done to the cage before you’re done. The cross formed plate needs to be flattened out and the rear bar rook points need to be bent up."

Oversized spare tire hardware

"Easy to install no additional work needs to be done for 265/70/17 spare 👍"

Doesn't work on a 3500 with 275 70 R17

"Doesn't work on a 3500 with 275 70 R17 tires. Installed Rekia super single tires and then tried to use this bracket for the spare. Apparently the basket on a 3500 is a different size than a 2500, tire fit ok side to side even without stretching, had to deflate to get the tire in because its too wide. Will have to go to a fabricator to get something made."

Not for 3500 Super Single

"This will not work on a 3500 with 275 70 R17 tires. The factory bracket on the 3500 from Mercedes Benz is shorter top to bottom than the 2500 bracket. Need a new solution for 3500's converting to super single wheels and tires."

Did not work

"275/7018 spare would not fit on a 2323 AWD, stretched it rubbed on exhaust and probably wouldn’t have hurt anything just wasn’t comfortable with it"
